Q: How does your service work?
A: 1. Contact SHS by email or call to let us know your detailed requirements of the Ayi you are looking for such as the working hours for her, what you need her to do, your address (we normally arrange Ayi who lives close to your place), your planned salary and so on.
    2. We will select a couple of candidates for you as soon as we can. Normally it takes about less than 24hours.
    3. We set up an interview for you and Ayi. We will company with Ayi to your house for interview to make the communication possible and easier.
    4.You can give Ayi one to two week’s trial period.
    5. If you are happy with ayi’s performance, you can keep the Ayi to work for you. Then we can sign a contract. If the Ayi can not satisfy you, we will send you more Ayis until you pick up the best one for you to work in your place.
    6. If you hire an Ayi from SHS, you can contact us anytime you need our help to communicate with your Ayi.

Q: I would be very happy if you could find me someone who can speak a little ?English! My Chinese is not so good and I do need to be able to communicate with Ayi.
A: General communications is our duty, if you have any problems with your Ayi or you find it is hard to communicate with her, we will serve as a bridge to make this process easier. If you want to tell Ayi something but it is hard for her to understand, you can just call us at any time or send us an email if it is not urgent, we will let her know what you want her to do. If Ayi has any questions we also will pass the information.

Q:What is your service and what are your conditions?

Q: Do your Ayis have a health certificate (tuberculosis neg)?
A: Yes, some Ayis do have health certificate. For those who don’t have it or their certificates are expired, they can go for it if you need them to do so. Normally it takes less than one week.

Q: Does live-in Ayi mean working 5 days?or 7 days a week?
A: For live-in Ayis, they usually work for five or six days per week. We strongly recommend you to give your Ayi one or two days holiday a week.
Q:How much do I need to pay for my Ayi?
A: For the Ayis working full time, 8 hours a day and 5 or 6 days a week, they are normally paid 2000 RMB to 2800 RMB. For the Ayis working part time, a couple of hours each time, a couple of times each week, the Ayis charge 15 RMB to 20 RMB per hour.
    Ayis with different background charge different rates. Also different workload makes different payment. We will give you a pricing according to your requirements of the Ayi.

Q: Do you have Ayis that can speak good english? How much do they normally charge for part-time and full time?
A: A small number of Chinese Ayis can speak nice English. Some of them can speak basic English. The salary for English speaking domestic helpers is usually around 3500RMB for full time. 20-40 RMB per hour for part time.

Q: What days are holidays in China? When do I need to pay extra, such as Chinese New Year bonus and how much for each holiday?
A: About Chinese holidays, there are the Spring Festival ( Chinese New Year, 3 days), the New Year(1st Jan), the Labor Holiday(1st May), the National Holiday(1st -3rd Oct), Tomb-sweeping Day(1 day), Dragon Boat Festival(1 day), Mid-Autumn Day(1 day). Ayi should have holiday in these days and the salary should not be deducted. If you want your Ayi to work for you during these holidays, you should pay for her double.
You can decide when to pay and how much bonus according Ayi’s performance. Normally, Ayis are paid a 13 month’s salary at the end of each year.
